Flora Europaea           A maritime xeric species which is favored by ruderalization. Easy to be recognized due to the prickly, spiny teeth of the calyx. Between Vama Veche and 2 Mai, Constanta county, along with the rare species Senecio grandidentatus (the yellow spots in the background) at the base of the sea cliff. dr.
